It’s been a very busy few weeks for our Training team and Head of Technical Training, Chris Brown, has just wrapped up an 132kV accredited training course featuring TE accessories.
The course was, as always, designed specifically to suit the unique training needs of the candidates and included aspects such as:
Training carried out on EHVS 145TWS Shield Break Straight Joint and included:
· Following shearing the connector bolts, installation of the thread closure caps.
· Conductive tape application on the non-shield break side of the joint.
· Nonconductive self-amalgamating application on the shield break side of the joint.
· Installation of the black mastic profiling tape on the shield break side of the joint.
· Installation of the first sealing sleeve.
· Installation of the reinforcement wraparound sleeve.
Courses are carried out at our dedicated Training Centre in the Midlands or on site depending on facilities.
