Sussex has plenty of representation in the England Performance Programme this winter, with the players having begun their winter training programmes already ahead of their overseas tours.
Left-arm paceman Tymal Mills and new recruit Danny Briggs are both involved at Loughborough this week before heading on separate overseas tours next week.
Mills forms part of the fast bowling camp in Potchefstroom, South Africa, whilst Briggs, who signed for Sussex from Hampshire last month, will be with the batting and spin camp in Dubai. Both parties then come together on November 24th for the final week of the camp in Dubai, which ends on December 1st.
Sussex leg-spinner Will Beer will also be accompanying the EPP squad to the UAE in a net bowling capacity.
Almost all of the players from both camps will then remain in Dubai to form the England Lions squad to take on Pakistan ‘A’ between the 1st and the 17th December. Mills will be joined by his Sussex team-mate Chris Jordan in this sequence of five T20 matches against their counterparts.
