As many of you know, Dave Martin is a much-loved member of the JT family and has been for more years than he would care for us to say.
A couple of years ago his wife Nina was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s/Early Onset Dementia which has completely changed their lives and that of their children, grandchildren and all their family and friends
Alzheimer’s has no cure. It cruelly robs the minds of those affected leaving family and friends helpless in the face of what is often a rapid deterioration in someone they love.
Dave’s son, Will, and his friend Tom are not walkers, but to help raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s research they are lacing up their hiking boots and have challenged themselves to complete the full 100km South Downs 100 which is an arduous 100km endurance trek over hills and steep ridges, finishing on Beachy Head, the highest chalk sea cliff in England.
#TeamJT are proud to support Will and Tom in their fundraising
If you would like to donate to this amazing effort and support the Alzheimer’s society, their Just Giving page can be found here: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/teamvonhumboldt
