Our in-house Trainer, Chris Brown, has been busy with medium voltage installer training again this week.
Installed accessories include the IXSU-F, EPKT, RSTI & RSTI-CC terminations along with the SXAW, MXSU & SHSS12A IND heat shrinkable & resin filled range of joints.
Photographs show a roll spring connection of the earth braid down onto the copper taped screen of the aluminium wire armoured cable, as well as the installation of the inner sealing sleeve from the SXAW joint. Armouring would be taken across the joint and later connected together after exposing the armours using the mechanical connectors.
You can also see checking the underside of the PVC cable oversheath from the SXAW joint - missed a bit, try again!!
