Peter Burgoyne and Harry Finch both made half-centuries on the opening day of Sussex Second Eleven’s three-day Championship match with Glamorgan at Preston Nomads CC yesterday.
After Sussex won the toss and elected to bat first, they made 257 before being bowled out by their hosts. Burgoyne top-scored with 76, batting at number six after opener Finch (pictured) had earlier made 52. Callum Jackson (34) and Tom Haines (23) also chipped in.
Glamorgan then reached 31 for 2 at the close of play with the Sussex wickets coming from George Garton and Abi Sakande.
