Statement: Jointing Tech Group Continuity of Operations During COVID-19 Outbreak

JT News | 27th March, 2020

To our valued customers, suppliers and partners,

During this time of incredible challenge, the most important thing above all is that we work together to beat the Coronavirus and save as many lives as possible. First and foremost, we at Jointing Tech Group are full of admiration and gratitude for the efforts of the those in the frontline, especially those in the NHS working so hard to treat those affected most severely by this disease. It is our primary aim to maintain the health and safety of our staff and their families, and of course the wider community by acting responsibly in response to this serious threat.

As a termed-contract supplier to several of the Distribution Network Operators it is incumbent on us to have within our business continuity plan a pandemic response protocol to ensure that critical services are maintained to the utility sector, and others. In immediate response to the emergence of the Covid-19 threat we progressively implemented the following in late February and throughout March:

  • Early identification & isolation of vulnerable staff
  • Ceased movement between JT sites in order to ‘ring fence’ groups of staff to build resilience
  • Increased work-from-home, culminating in removal of all non-critical members of staff from JT sites
  • Early ordering of additional stock to counter expected supply chain issues in coming weeks & months
  • Expedited outward shipments of manufactured materials in anticipation of lockdown

The result has been that with an absolute minimum of staff on our sites, supported by staff working remotely, we have maintained critical supply to those clients who have needed it. We sincerely thank you for your patience and assure you that Jointing Tech Group will continue to deploy all our resources towards this effort, complying always with legal requirements and prevailing advice of HM Government during this global crisis.

Please stay safe and let us know if there is anything more we can do to help.
