The Jointing Tech and Wolseley group charity this year is Dementia UK, a charity close to many of our hearts. As a Group, our aim is to raise £500,000 this year for this incredible charity with many branches and divisions taking part in individual fund-raising events.
When they got the call to take part in a golf charity match to raise funds for Dementia UK, our #TeamJT golfers were delighted to support Hornbill Engineering and take part. Whilst #teamJT didn’t win, that honour goes to Hornbill Engineering, we were proud to be part of the day, raising almost £4000 for Dementia UK.
Alongside many other group activities this year The Group will be completing a sponsored Charity Walk from John O’Groats to Lands’ End beginning August 31st. Team members will walk the entire length of the country, taking in many Wolseley branches as they complete the 874-mile (1047 km) challenge.
Dementia UK are the only specialist dementia nursing charity for the whole family, tirelessly working towards a day when no one has to face dementia alone and we, as a Group, will do everything we can to continue to support this amazing charity with year long fundraising events – watch this space for more information!
